<p>A composition for use in the processing of natural rubber is provided which comprises from 20 to 40% of o,o'-dibenzamidodiphenyl disulphide, from 10 to 30% of a zinc salt of a C8 to C20 saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid, optionally substituted, from 10 to 55% of a halogenated hydrocarbon solvent, from 0.0033 to 0.1% of an acetylene diol or its ethylene oxide adduct comprising up to 60% by weight ethylene oxide derived material and up to 0.3% of a complex salt of iron, cobalt, copper or manganese. The use of a cobalt boroacylate containing from 11 to 23% by weight cobalt as a peptiser activator is also disclosed.</p> |
