A tank closure device 1 for a filler neck 2 of a container comprises a closure member 3 biassed by means of a spring 8 against the filler neck 2 and which can be secured to the filler neck by means of a closure cap 6 with a bayonet fitting. The closure cap 6 has projecting up from its top face a gripping member 9 extending along the closure cap. The bayonet fastening comprises at least three socket elements 12,13 arranged on an annular circumferential surface as well as a matching number of dogs which engage behind the socket elements 12,13 and the socket elements and dogs are arranged in an uneven distribution across the circumferential surface.
