PURPOSE:To provide amorphous silicic acid for thermal recording sheet filler which is highly oil absorptive and effective for the prevention of sticking phenomenon, the improvement of smoothness, inhibition of color development due to aging or in a background and further the enhancement of an image with a minimization of waste attachment to a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:This silicic acid is an amorphous silicic acid prepared using wet sedimentation technique and has a BET specific surface area of 30 to 100m<2>/g and an oil absorption capacity of 200 to 350cc/100g. Preferably the acid should have a bulk density of 100 to 300g/1 as measured using Loose Weight technique and the average secondary particle diameter of 2 to 10mum. |
