N-RAS EXPRESSION INHIBITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ribozyme which has an action to cleave a specific site in mRNA of mutant N-ras and is useful for production of a drug for treating the diseases accompanied by abnormal cell proliferation and/or differentiation. SOLUTION: This ribozyme cleaves mRNA of mutant N ras at the site of NUX (N is any base; X is A, C or U) (preferably having 13-50 base nucleotide) and has base sequences of formula I or formula II. This ribozyme is synthesized or vector-encoded and intrinsically or extraneously delivered into the cells. It can be chemically synthesized according to the description in 'Oligonucleotide Synthesis-a practical approach' by M.J. Gait (IRS Press, 1984).
