PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covered wire jointing method capable of inexpensively and easily jointing covered wires to each other for electrical continuity, and stably maintaining a connection state ensuring a good electrical characteristic. SOLUTION: This jointing method superposes two covered wires W1 and W2 on top of each other at a connection part S and, then, the superposed connection part S is clamped with a pair of resin tips 13 and 15. Thereafter, covered parts 3 are fused and pressure is applied from the external side of the resin tips 13 and 15. The conductor parts 1 of both covered wires W1 and W2 are thereby made electrically continuous to and kept in contact with each other via the connection part S. Then, a pair of resin tips 13 and 15 are deposited to each other for sealing the connection part S. In addition, the intersection angleθof the two covered wires W1 and W2 at the connection part S is taken at a value between 45 degrees and 135 degrees.
