PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of damage of a connector even in the cease where a worker operates a latch in the wrong direction opposite to the functioning direction by providing a deviation preventing means for preventing the deviation of a latch unit in the direction different from the direction for functioning the latch. SOLUTION: A fixed front end 14 of a side wall 12 is fixed onto a master board by a fixing fitting 20. This fixing fitting 20 is integrally formed with projections 22, 22D as a deviation preventing means. This projection part 22 is connected to a soldered fixed part 21 of the fixing fitting 20 so as to be extended to a position for hindering the deviation of the latch to the inside of a movable arm 16. With this structure of the fixing fitting 20, even in the case of the erroneous operation that an operating part 17 is operated inside in the condition that a slave board is not fitted in this electrical connector, deviation of a second movable arm 16 to the inside is hindered by the projection 22 of the fixing fitting 20, and an accident such as a breakdown of the movable arm 16 can be previously prevented.
