PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to transmit information in a communication mode matching characteristics of the information by classifying data to be sent to a customer according to the communication characteristics of the data, and selecting distribution media for transmission to customer terminal by the classified data and distributing the data. SOLUTION: Video information on articles are displayed on a customer terminal 100 at need by previously distributing a CD.ROM by mail, etc. The customer when knowing the price of the displayed article sends a price information request to a center 300. Consequently, the center 300 sends the price of the corresponding article to the customer terminal 100 by using an electronic mail. When the customer applies for its purchase, the number of inventories is confirmed at the center 300 and if the article is out of stock, a message showing that it is transmitted on-line in real-time through a network 200. |
