PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved thermal sprayer, particularly, an HVOF gun (sprayer), which is designed reduce the accumulating tendency in a jet passage in a thermal sprayer. SOLUTION: There are provided in the thermal sprayer a chamber member which defines a combustion chamber 26, a gas means 78 which sprays combustion gas and combustion improving gas to the combustion chamber, a gas cap 14 provided with a passage which extends from the combustion chamber to the end of an outlet, and a supply means 77 which supplies a thermal spray material to the passage. The gas cap 14 comprises a tubular inside member 80 which firms at least the most part of the passage, and a cooling means for cooling the inside member of which the inside member 80 is formed of a thermal conductivity material having the hardness of at least Rc 65. By this constitution, when the fuel gas is burnt in the combustion chamber, the jet flow which includes finely divided thermal spray material can be sprayed by passing through the end of the outlet without being deposited in large volume in the passage. |
