<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure capable of maintaining the waterproof performance of a balcony for a prolonged term and being easily installed. SOLUTION: The leg sections of the handrail pieces 4 of a balcony handrail 3 installed at the periphery of a balcony 2 are clamped at the upper end of a connecting member 1, and the lower end of the connecting member 1 is joined with a framework 6 being deviated to the outside of the balcony 2 and supporting the floor material 5 of the balcony 2. The connecting member 1 has a horizontal flange 8 united with the framework 6, a columnar main body and an upper end plate 13, to which the handrail pieces 4 are fastened. Since the handrail pieces 4 are not penetrated to a coping 46 directly receiving direct sunlight and wind and rain at that time, intrusion into an external wall panel 37 of rainwater, etc., can be prevented surely. The number of parts is reduced and labor hours are not required for the execution of installation works.</p> |
