PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from being generated inside over a long duration without requiring special maintenance after cable laying by containing an imidazole based compound in an insulator consisting of a cross-linked polyolefin cross-linked by an organic peroxide. SOLUTION: In an insulation cable, an internal semiconductor layer, an insulator layer, and an external semiconductor layer or the like are formed in order, for example. This insulator layer consists of a low-density polyethylene generally cross-linked by di-cumyl peroxide of an organic peroxide or the like, and an imidazol based compound is contained. Preferably, 2- merkaptobenzoimidasole expressed by formula I or 2-merkapto- methylbenzoimidazole expressed by formula II are used, and its content is 0.01 to 1.0wt.% per polyolefin of 100wt.%. Thus, generation of water during heating from a methane drying process during manufacturing to a heat cycle due to power conducting during actual use is restricted, and lowering of the cable electric insulation performance or generation of water tolly is restricted for a long time. |
