PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform hand over in a short time by reserving the channel of a base station before switching for a fixed time so as to restart communication with a previous base station while using the reserved channel according to need concerning a radio communication system with which the base station can be switched during the communication of a mobile station. SOLUTION: When a base station switch discrimination part 42 of a mobile station 11 discriminates it is necessary to switch the base station since a radio state gets adverse, the reservation of the channel is instructed to the base station under communication, and a reserve starting part 51 of a base station controller 2 holds the channel while reserving it. Even after the switching to the base station selected by the discrimination part 43 is performed while referring to a base station information table, the mobile station 11 outputs the instruction of communication restart with the base station under reserving through a reserve base station restart part 45, cancels the channel under reserving and restarts communication. Thus, even when the radio state is frequently degraded, the channel is secured without fail, the acquisition processing of a free slot is unnecessitated and hand over can be speedily performed. |
