摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sealing composition which can readily seal the panel and funnel at a lowered temperature in a shortened time and can sufficiently increase the heating rate at the heating and evacuation steps after sealing by constituting the sealing composition substantially with a powder of specific low-melting glass and a powder of low-expanding ceramic filler so that they have prescribed physical properties. SOLUTION: This composition substantially comprises (A) 90-99.95wt.% of crystalline low-melting glass powder which has the following composition: 71.5-78.0wt.% of PbO; 10.5-14.5wt.% of ZnO; 7.0-10.0wt.% of B2 O3 ; 1.65-3.0wt.% of SiO2 ; 0.1-1.5wt.% of BaO; 0-1.5wt.% of SrO; 0-1.5wt.% of CaO where BaO+ SrO+CaO=0.5-1.5wt.%; substantially free from Fe and the weight ratio of ZnO/PbO is 0.14-0.20 and (B) 0.05-10wt.% of a powder of low-expansion ceramic filler (for example, zircon) and has an average thermal expansion coefficient of 80×10<-7> -110×10<-7> / deg.C at room temperature to 300 deg.C after firing.
