PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rate of recognition by suppressing the common information of patterns by respectively performing common weighting processing corresponding to frequencies to registered Fourier N-dimensional pattern data and collation Fourier N-dimensional pattern data. SOLUTION: At a control part 20-1, common weighting processing corresponding to frequencies is respectively performed to registered Fourier N-dimensional pattern data and collation Fourier N-dimensional pattern data. These weighting processed registered Fourier N-dimensional pattern data and collation Fourier N-dimensional pattern data are synthesized and to synthetic Fourier N- dimensional pattern data provided by this operation, N-dimensional discrete Fourier transformation(DFT) or N-dimensional inverse DFT is performed. Then, a registered pattern is collated with a collation pattern based on the strength of a correlative component for every data consisting of the N-dimensional pattern data in a correlative component area to appear in these Fourier transformed synthetic Fourier N-dimensional pattern data. |
