PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute re-transmission processing conducted for occurrence of a transmission error in multimedia communication within a delay time in response to a characteristic for each medium. SOLUTION: In the case that transmission of multiplexed media data of a plurality of kinds of packet processing is conducted by the multimedia multiplex communication method, a time consumed for re-transmission processing for each kind of media data is set in advance to a transmitter side equipment 1, and when a transmission error is generated in transmitted media data packets, the processing of re-transmitting the packet to a receiver side equipment 30 is conducted within the set time. Each packet is added with a check code to detect a transmission error and the re-transmission processing is conducted based on that a confirmation reply of normal reception from the receiver side equipment 30 receiving sent data is not obtained within a prescribed time.
