PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a digital satellite communication signal with a simple configuration at a low cost. SOLUTION: A 1st intermediate frequency signal of digital satellite communication employing vertically and horizontally polarized waves is frequency- converted into a 2nd intermediate frequency signal of vertically and horizontally polarized waves in which frequency bands are not overlapped by means of a block converter 16. The signals above, U, V broadcast signals, and satellite broadcast intermediate frequency signal are mixed by the converter 16 and the mixed signal is fed to each terminal equipment 26 via a transmission means 18. The converter 16 applies frequency conversion to the 1st intermediate frequency signal of the vertically and horizontally polarized waves into a 3rd intermediate frequency signal of vertically and horizontally polarized waves at the same frequency band and lower than the satellite broadcast intermediate frequency at first. The signal is converted into the 2nd intermediate frequency signal of the vertically and horizontally polarized waves. |
