PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct an intermediate stripping process for a coated cable even after it is laid by providing an intermediate stripper unit with a gripping section so secured to any one of a pair of frame bodies that a main body can be carried with one hand. SOLUTION: An intermediate stripper unit 1 is provided with a main body section 10 constituted of a fixed frame body 11 and a movable frame body 12, a clamp section 20 installed in the fixed frame body 11 and a cutting section 30 installed in the movable frame body 12, a positioning member 40 installed in the cutting section 30, and a gripping section 60 for gripping the main body section 10. A coated cable is clamped by the clamp section 20 and is cut by the cutting section 30 and after that, the movable frame 12 is so driven by an air cylinder 50 that the clamp section 20 and the cutting section 30 may be separated from or drawn near to each other to conduct an intermediate stripping process for the coated cable. An intermediate stripping process can be performed for the coated cable after the cable is laid as a wire assembly and thereby many kinds of cables can be effectively manufactured, with one kind and low volume production. |
