PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method useful for treatment and prevention of sepsis and acute respiratory disease syndrome of adult by independently administrating a specific chemokine or its fragment and simultaneously administrating it together with an antiinfection drug and a hematopoietic cell maturative drug. SOLUTION: This method is carried out by administrating 1-100mg/kg of chemokine, and its biologically active fragment selected from (a) macrophage inflammatory protein-γ', (b) macrophage inflammatory protein-3 and -4, (c) macrophage migration inhibition factor-3, (d) human chemokine-β-9, (e) human chemokine polypeptide, (f) human chemokine-β-11 and human chemokine-α-1, (g) human chemokine-β-13, (h) human chemokine-β-12, (i) chemokine-α-2, (j) chemokine-β-3, (k) a new chemokine for mobilizing stem cells and (l) short form chemokine-β-8. Further, these are administrated combining with an antiinfection drug (e.g. gentamicin) and a hemotopoietic cell maturative drug. |
