PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent much developer from heaping on a casing end face, with a simple constitution by arranging a magnet for forming a magnetic brush, so that a specific magnetic field influences the casing end face. SOLUTION: The magnet 4 far forming the magnetic brush is held in a nonrotational state with respect to a rotary sleeve 3, in the developing sleeve 3. The casing end face 22 as a part, of a casing 1 is located to face a photoreceptor 5. The magnet 4 is arranged so that a magnetic field which is gradually made stronger from a casing end face part, B farthest from the sleeve 3 to a casing end face part A nearest to the sleeve 3 influences the casing end face 22. A part, of the developer on the sleeve 3 is scattered toward the casing end face 22. Carrier of magnetic powder such as iron powder, in the scattered developer are captured by the magnetic field by the magnet 4 and ride on lines of magnetic force M, M1, M2,..., to be attracted to the side of the sleeve 3. |
