PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart swing by segmenting the data which shows the waveform of a musical sound into periods each corresponding to a specified length of note, partitioning the waveform data of each period into the first half and the latter half, reading out these with different reading speeds and reproducing them as musical sound. SOLUTION: A ROM 12 is stored with the program which controls an entire electronic instrument 10, plural pieces of waveform data obtained by sampling the phrases of music, etc. A RAM 13 is stored with the phrase control information to be referred to when the CPU 11 reads these plural pieces of waveform data in the reproduction of phrase samples and plural pieces of pitch bend control information corresponding to the respective pieces of waveform data. And a waveform readout section 15 reads out the first- and second halves of the waveform data in each period stored in the ROM 12 respectively with a slower speed and a faster speed than usual based on the command of the CPU 11. |
