PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window installed type air conditioner dispensing with drain work even when the machine is of a heat pump type. SOLUTION: The inside of a main body is divided into indoor-side and outdoor-side sections and blower fans 16 and 18 and heat exchangers 10 and 11 are held in the outdoor-side and the indoor-side sections respectively. An outdoor-side inlet and an outdoor-side outlet are provided at the back of the main body and the outdoor-side inlet, the outdoor-side heat exchanger 10, the outdoor-side blower fan 16 and the outdoor-side outlet are made to communicate with each other sequentially so that an outdoor-side air passage is formed. Dew water formed in the heat exchangers 10 and 11 is led to the lower part of the outdoor-side heat exchanger 10, while an atomizing device is provided at the outdoor-side outlet or in the vicinity of the outdoor-side air passage. This device is equipped with an atomizing motor 32 in the upper part of a case and with atomizing vanes 31 which are provided inside the case and rotate horizontally, while a discharge port 42 discharging atomized dew water is provided in the lateral side of the case. The discharge port 42 is provided above the atomizing vanes 31 and, therefore, scattering of large drops of the dew water from the discharge port 42 is prevented. |
