DYEING OF POLYESTER FIBER-CONTAINING FIBER AND DYEING AUXILIARY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a disperse dye from decomposing and dye a polyester fiber-containing fiber with good reproducibility by carrying out the exhaustion dyeing in an alkaline region in an aqueous medium containing a specific compound. SOLUTION: The exhaustion dyeing of a polyester fiber-containing fiber with a disperse dye is carried out in an alkaline region in an aqueous medium containing a compound represented by the formula [R is H or CH3 ; (n) is 1-3; X is H, an alkali metallic salt or an organic base] (e.g. taurine, N-methyltaurine or aminomethanesulfonic acid). The dyeing is effective even in dyeing a mixed fiber of the polyester fiber/cellulosic fiber with the disperse dye and a metallic complex salt type direct dye in one bath.
