PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new gene coding IFN-β2 A having a mature type biological activity obtained by measuring hydropathy along a specific amino acid sequence and useful for production, etc., of IFN-β2 A having antiulcer activity and antiviral activity. SOLUTION: This cDNA comprises a nucleotide sequence coding an amino acid sequence of interferon-β2 A (IFN-β2 A) having mature type biological activity and capable of obtaining by measuring hydropathy along a specific amino acid sequence represented by the formula and production of interferon β2 A having antiviral activity and antiulce activity and useful for uses, etc., as a medicine can efficiently be carried out by culturing a cell line transformed with a vector containing the cDNA. The cDNA is obtained by reacting a human fibroblast with an exogenous proper factor, extracting mRNA, preparing a gene library by using the mRNA as a template and screening the gene library with a probe. |
