PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing taxane compounds having antitumor activities by which the productivity of the taxane compounds is extremely improved. SOLUTION: The objective taxane compounds are produced by culturing a cell capable of producing the taxane compounds derived from Taxus sp. in a culturing medium containing an added carbohydrate, subjecting the cell to produce the taxane compounds and collecting the taxane compounds from the cultured material. The cell-culturing is performed by inducing the cell in a solid culturing medium and culturing the multiplied callus by using the liquid culturing medium with the added carbohydrate. Fructose, maltose, lactose, raffinose, etc., are suitable for the carbohydrate. |
