<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a catalyst efficiently usable in all the range of exhaust gas temperature with respect to an exhaust emission control device of a diesel engine. SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device is provided with a catalyst 1 arranged in an exhaust gas channel 27 of a diesel engine E, an exhaust gas turbine 9T provided on an exhaust channel 11 upstream of the catalyst 1, and a compressor 9C connected to an exhaust gas turbine 9T. With a compressed air obtained from a compressor 9C an upstream exhaust gas channel 27, cooling means 14 for cooling a catalyst 1 and control means S for controlling a flow rate of the compressed air so that the temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the catalyst 1 is set to the range of the optimal activity of the catalyst 1 are provided.</p> |
