PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode assembly equipped with a separator having a strong leg portion.SOLUTION: An electrode assembly comprises a positive electrode plate 40, a separator 50 having a first cover 60 covering a first face of the positive electrode plate and a second cover 70 covering a second face of the positive electrode plate, and a negative electrode plate 20 confronting the separator. The first cover has a first extension portion 62 which extends over a tab confronting side 40a of the positive electrode plate, and the second cover has a second extension portion 72 which extends over the tab confronting side 40a of the positive electrode plate and is overlapped with the first extension portion, and a second overlap portion (overlap portion) 76 which extends from the second extension part so as to be overlapped with the second extension portion. The separator has the first extension portion, the second extension portion and the second overlap portion, and has a leg portion 80 which is disposed at the position corresponding to a tip edge 20a of the negative electrode plate and forms a tip edge 86.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
