<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for readily and effectively defibrating and screening recycle fiber mass and continuously separating impurities. SOLUTION: In this method for defibrating and screening a recycling fiber material, a fiber mass is defibrated by a primary pulper which is a vertical type pulper operated by high consistency and the fiber mass is fed to a secondary pulper which is a vertical type pulper operated by low consistency along a transfer pipe (4). This apparatus used for the method comprises a primary pulper which is a vertical type pulper operated by high consistency and a secondary pulper which is a vertical pulper operated by low consistency. The moving pipe (4) is provided between the primary pulper and the secondary pulper and the fiber mass is made to flow from the primary pulper to the secondary pulper along the moving pipe (4) by action of difference of pressure mainly produced by the difference of fluid level of pulper.</p> |
