PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic controller for an automatic transmission capable of preventing double connection and capable of forward traveling and backward traveling even if a first control means and a second control means are made into the non-operating state. SOLUTION: When solenoid valves 2, 3, 4, 5 are made into the non-operating state caused by cutoff and fail of an ECU (an automatic transmission control computer), output oil pressure of the solenoid valves 3, 4 become high in the forward range an OD/C and a UD/C are engaged, and therefore, the third shifting position is selected. When the reverse range is selected after a manual valve 80 is switched by being interlocked with a shift lever, a pressure passage D connected to the solenoid valve 3 becomes high, and also a pressure passage A becomes high, and therefore, an LR/B (a low reverse brake) and an R/C are engaged, and the reverse shifting position is selected. The LR/B and the OD/C are respectively controlled by the solenoid valves 5, 3 in the forward range, and therefore, double connection in the nonoperating state of respective solenoid valves can be prevented without increasing the number of solenoid valves. |
