A pivotal mounting, in particular a gear-lever mounting for motor vehicle gearboxes and transmission systems, comprising a spherical inner joint member (2) fitted within a spherical bore of an outer member (3). The outer joint member (3) is fitted with a plurality of circumferentially spaced, and axially projecting hook-like members (17) whose radial surfaces engage behind corresponding surfaces of a housing (4). The outer joint member (3) is also provided with spring elements (18) applied resiliently against corresponding surfaces of the housing (4) to firmly locate the pivotal mounting. |
