PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device with a biomolecule-coated surface-grafted matrix. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a surface-grafted matrix 22 made of a carboxyl group-including outer part and one or more of biomolecules 24, which are covalent-coupled to the surface-grafted matrix, however, most of the biomolecules are located on the outer part of surface grafted matrix 22. It is possible to load drugs such as antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anticoagulant agents inside the grafted matrix 22. |
