PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat three-dimensional antenna which has omnidirectional radiation characteristics matching a local network. SOLUTION: The antenna consists of three surfaces so that a bottom plate 1 is on the 1st surface, channel-shaped slot division bodies 2, 3, and 4 are on the 2nd surface, and resonance structures 9 and 10 are on the 3rd surface above the slot division bodies. The slot division bodies 2, 3, and 3 form aα/2 antenna slot together with the bottom plate 1 and the resonance structures 9 and 10 form a 2nd antenna slot together with the slot division bodies 2, 3, and 4. Feeding is carried out through a beltlike conductor 7. The impedance of the antenna matches by properly setting the size of the beltlike conductor 7. The antenna is formed of a dielectric, e.g. a ceramic block even in air. Antennas like this can be put together into a compact diversity antenna system. |
