<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the aperture ratio a liquid crystal display device by using a transparent conductive material to form a storage electrode which forms a storage capacitor. SOLUTION: A first insulating layer is formed on the whole surface of a substrate including a semiconductor layer 21, and plural gate lines are formed to partly overlap the upper part of the semiconductor layer 21. Impurity ions are injected into the semiconductor layer 21 to form a source region and drain region. Then a second insulating layer is formed on the whole surface, and a part of the gate line is exposed, and a transparent conductive layer is formed all over the substrate. A storage electrode 25 in the pixel region on the second insulating layer is formed to connect the gate line. Then a third insulating layer is formed all over the substrate, and a pixel electrode 27 is formed in the pixel region on the third insulating layer to connect the drain region of the semiconductor 21. Then a fourth insulating layer is formed all over the substrate and plural data lines 29 are formed on the fourth insulating layer to connect the source region of each semiconductor layer 21.</p> |
