The invention concerns a method and device for fibre sorting of a fibrous web (W) fed into a fibre-sorting facility. Such fibre-sorting facilities are known from combing machines, for example, where combing out of the fibrous web present is done by means of a mechanical round comb. Next, the bunch of fibres combed out is applied to a fibrous web by way of a complex process of pulling off and soldering. This requires a complex drive mechanism, and can also lead to damage to the individual fibres. It is therefore proposed that a current of air (4) be applied to the fibrous web (W) in a predetermined region (23); the current of air is to act mainly in the direction of transport of the fibrous web (W), while the fibrous web is guided on its side opposite the air current, and subjected to a holding force on both sides of this region (23), viewed in the direction of transport. |
