PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimum reception sensitivity regardless of the inclination of a radio terminal by detecting the opening/closing of a lid, unfolding and housing an antenna linked with an opened lid, detecting the inclination of a radio terminal main body and automatically adjusting the angle of the antenna. SOLUTION: After power is supplied, when the lid 10 of this radio terminal 1 is manually opened, a lid opening/closing detector 8 installed to the lid 10 is moved linked with the opening/closing of the lid, and in the case that the opening 7 closing angle of the lid becomes a predetermined angle, preferably more than 90 degrees, the lid opening/closing detector 8 sends antenna unfolding signals to an angle control part 2. The angle control part 2 controls a motor 5 by the antenna unfolding signals, rotates a gear 6 and the gear 7 and automatically unfolds the antenna 9 linked with the gears to 90 degrees. On the other hand, in the case that the opening/closing angle of the lid 10 and the main body 1 is less than 90 degrees, since the operation range of the lid opening/ closing detector 8 becomes less than 90 degrees as well and detection can not be performed in a lid opening/closing control part 4, the antenna 9 is not unfolded and is turned to the state of being housed in the radio terminal 1 as it is.
