PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice output device for a traffic signal device with extremely improved reliability for which fail-safe is performed by turning a ROM to a bank memory and selecting bank data corresponding to the kind of the aspect appearance of the traffic signal device. SOLUTION: When the aspect appearance of a signal device for a pedestrian becomes blue display and PG signals are inputted to a CPU 1, the PG signals are respectively inputted to a voice LSI 13 and the ROM 4 as well. The voice LSI 13 generates voice corresponding to the PG signals by using the data of the ROM 4 and the ROM 4 selects the bank memory with the PG signals as address signals. By using the data of the bank memory, the voice LSI 13 uses voice synthesis and the generated voice signals are processed through a low-pass filter 5, a gain adjustment circuit 6 and an amplifier circuit 7 and announced from a speaker 2. In such a manner, since the voice LSI 13 and the ROM 4 are addressed by the PG signals, fail-safe is performed. |
