<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a character of an internet screen so that they can easily be viewed by reducing the number of the characters per line on an internet screen at the time of displaying a television program and an internet screen for a half screen of a display screen compared to that at the time of displaying an internet screen on a whole display screen. SOLUTION: CUP 38 sets picture signals for one screen of an initial screen in an area in RAM 37 storing the picture signal of the screen where the number of the characters to be displayed per line is the number of the characters (80 characters, for example) at a mode operating as an internet television. Then, the picture signals for one screen of the initial screen are set in an area in RAM 37 for storing the picture signals of the screen where the number of the characters to be displayed on one line is the number of the characters (72 characters, for example) at the time of a mode where the regular television program and the internet screen are simultaneously displayed. The characters contained in the initial screen at that time are rearranged so that they become the prescribed number per line.</p> |
