PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and securely retrieve a place which causes abnormal operation found from an emulation result by providing an emulating means which executes a sequence program stored in a storage means and displays the emulation result, etc. SOLUTION: This device consists of a sequence program generation part (a) and a sequence program verification part (b). A sequence program storage means 1 which constitutes the sequence program verification part (b) stores the sequence program. The emulating means 2 emulates the processing operation of a sequencer as an actual machine to virtually execute the sequence program stored in the sequence program storage means 1. Then the sequence program verification part (b) executes the sequence program generated by the sequence program generation part (a) by emulation and retrieves a place relating to the cause of abnormality occurrence from the emulation result.
