<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method improved in image characteristics, long-term durability, environmental stability (characteristics at high temp. and high humidity environment or storage characteristics). SOLUTION: An electrostatic charge latent image is developed by using a developing device 7 which has at least a developing roller to develop an electrostatic charge latent image formed on an electrostatic charge image holding body 1 with a toner 8 held by a developing roller. In this method, the developing device has such a mechanism that development is performed by bringing the toner on the developing roller on which the developer deposits while being in contact with the electrostatic charge image holding body which faces the roller. The toner has <=10μm weight average particle size, and the amt. of toner having >=12.7μm particle size is <20wt.%. When a rectangular parallelepiped circumscribed with the toner particle is supported and respective sides a, b, c thereof satisfy a>b>c, a>b=c, a=b>c or a=b=c, the average of b/a is 0.4 to 0.98 and the average of c/a is 0.3 to 0.95.</p> |
