PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image not causing retransfer under various conditions of electric current for transfer and capable of giving a high quality image. SOLUTION: This toner for developing an electrostatic charge image contains toner particles contg. at least a bonding resin and a colorant and inorg. fine particles added to the toner particles. The inorg. fine particles include fine metallic oxide particles having 0.05-2.0μm average particle diameter represented by the formula Mx Oy [where M is Al, Ti, Zn or Zr, O is oxygen and each of (x) and (y) is a positive number other than O]. This toner has one or more heat absorption peaks by differential thermal analysis in a region of <=120 deg.C.
