PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain colored fine particles excellent in dispersibility and stability of a charged state through simplified producing processes. SOLUTION: When a polymerizable monomer compsn. prepd. by dispersing a colorant in at least a polymerizable monomer is suspended in an aq. dispersive medium and polymerized to obtain colored fine particles, the colorant is dispersed in the polymerizable monomer in the presence of a dispersant, the viscosity of the polymerizable monomer compsn. is regulated to <=300cP and the viscosity of the compsn. after suspension in the aq. dispersive medium is regulated to <=100cP.
