<p>The method involves dividing the edges of the structures (1) into two halves in an assembly zone (9). An insert (2) is fitted between them which is glued and bolted in place. The insert is of metal such as stainless steel or aluminium, for example, or a composition material, e.g. based on glass, carbon or aramid fibres. Any gap between the insert and the structures is filled by a resin (4) or by wedges. Both the wedges and the fixing bolts (3) can be made from a metal or a composition material.</p> |
