FIELD: geology. SUBSTANCE: down-hole logging instrument has case on which axis there are positioned in series source of gamma- quanta, screen and two gamma-quanta detectors. Distances between source and detectors are chosen from series of numbers. Case has collimation windows for source and gamma-quanta detectors. Case may be sectional with possibility of fixed axial and angular displacement of one part relative to another. Collimation windows are located at angle of 32-40 deg with respect to axis of case.
