PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophoresis gel which shows high transparency, low electroosmosis and high resolution, by adding to a buffer solution agarose extracted and refined from agar and tamarind gum extracted and refined from a tamarind seed with a specific ratio. SOLUTION: Agarose extracted and refined from agar and tamarind gum extracted and refined from a tamarind seed are added to an electrophoresis buffer solution, which is heated thereby forming a transparent gel. The transparent gel is injected into a mold and cooled thereby forming the electrophoresis gel. The tamarind gum is added by 5-80wt.% to a total quantity of the agarose and tamarind gum. The tamarind gum shows superior transparency and a Newtonian flow viscosity with higher heat resistances than many other kinds of gum. When the tamarind gum is combined with the agarose thereby forming the electrophoresis gel, in comparison with the case where the agarose alone is used, a network structure of the electrophoresis gel becomes close, less nebulous and transparent. |
