摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the stable running of a magnetic tape by selecting the height of the peak of roughness in the range of specific micrometers while performing an initial centerless grinding working and a final super finish working. SOLUTION: The rough surface working for the surface of a rotary guide pin 7 guiding a magnetic tape 4, for example, a cylindrical body made of stainless steel, that is, of a magnetic tape guiding surface 11 is performed. This tape guiding surface 11 is made to be rough surface having the height RMAX of the peak of roughness in the range of 0.2μm∼0.8μm by the initial centerless grinding working and the final super finish working. Consequently, when the rotary guide pin guiding the magnetic tape is made of metal, after the surface of the metallic cylinder is subjected to the centerless grinding working, the final finishing is performed by a super finish working to obtain a rough surface satisfying the range of 0.2μm.RMAX∼0.8μm.RMAX with respect to the maximum height of roughness RMAX. Thus, the constant running of the magnetic tape 4 is performed.</p>
