FIELD: construction.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to foamed, honeycomb material containing secondary polyethylene terephthalate. Described is foamed, cellular material, which contains at least 50 wt % of secondary polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and less than 50 wt. % of primary PET, in which internal viscosity of polymer(s) is increased during extrusion of foamed material and increased by means of reactive additive containing ethylene copolymer and acrylic acid, heat-resistant resin and compound with several functional groups, and internal viscosity escaping from extruder foamed material is characterized by higher than 1.2 ml/g, preferably higher than 1.35 ml/g and density has value between 40 and 200 kg/m, preferably between 50 and 150 kg/m. Also described is method of producing said foamed, cellular material, in which secondary PET is thoroughly cleaned connected and filtered in extruder and then granulated and when during subsequent foamed granulated material extrusion viscosity secondary PET increases by reactive additive containing ethylene copolymer and acrylic acid, heat-resistant resin and compound with several functional groups, and physical foaming agent is introduced into mixture.
