The saddle bow has a frontal pommel and side bands formed of wood at angles of ninety degrees plus or minus fort five degrees. The withers (1) and the fixings for the side bands (2) are reinforced by a rigid section (6) having a size and material adapted to take the loads connected to the movements of the rider. The bow has a strip following the incurved shape of the withers and side feet (9) for fixing the side bands of the bow and the upper part of the stirrup carriers (4) and lower feet (8) for fixing of the side section to the stirrup carriers.
