PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate counting of negative photon in an image at the time of counting radiation. SOLUTION: A radiation indicative of an object is detected and a set of data indicative of the detected radiation is generated. The position of a negative cell in the set of data is specified and ordered for the purpose of processing. A negative cell VSEL is selected for the purpose of processing and a mask region (MASK) is defined for the selected cell and then a positive in the mask region is specified. Subsequently, a correction coefficient is calculated and the value of the positive cell is adjusted. The value of the selected cell is further adjusted to sustain a constant count for the set of data. When the value of the selected cell is still negative, a new correction coefficient is calculated and the value of positive cell is adjusted again along with the selected cell. The process is repeated until all negative cells in the set of data are processed. Finally, an image indicative of the object is generated. |
