PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an informing function for a change in address by equipping a selective paging receiver with an address changing means and an address change informing means. SOLUTION: The selective paging receiver receives data by a reception part 4. The address area in the receive data is read by a data decoding part 16 and a CPU 14 compares the address in the data format with an address stored in an EEPROM 28 to check whether the address corresponds to the address of its machine. When the receive address matches the address of this machine, the contents of the internal function indication area of a function area is confirmed. Here, when it is judged that the address has been changed, an address change part 18 adds or deletes the address by writing the EEPROM 28. An address change information control part 20 monitors this writing operation to confirm that the address has been changed, and then operates an address change information part 30 to inform the user that the address has been changed. |
