PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable demolition of hydrogen storage alloy powders to be suppressed, while reducing electric resistance or battery reaction resistance of a hydrogen storage alloy electrode using SBR (styrene butadiene-based latex). SOLUTION: In this method, hydrogen storage alloy powders, a styrene butadiene-based latex as a bonding material and water are mixed, a paste is formed and applied to both sides of a metal plate made of a power collector, after which the paste is dried and pressurized for manufacturing a hydrogen storage alloy electrode. In this case, a glass transient temperature of the styrene butadiene-based latex is -25 to -40 deg.C. Thus, the electric resistance or battery reaction resistance of the hydrogen storage alloy electrode is reduced, and demolition of the hydrogen storage alloy powders can be suppressed. |
