FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: valve gear has rocker 3 resting by one end on stem of valve 5 and by other end, on ball head 7 of hydraulic compensator rod 8. Rod has piston 11 spring loaded from below. Ring slot 12 is made on outer cylindrical surface of piston. Axial holes 13, through which ring slot communicates with under-piston space of compensator housing, are made on lower wall of ring slot. Sealing ring 14 is freely fitted in ring slot 12. Check valve 17 in form of metal plate is placed inside piston for free vertical travel within limits. With device operating, automatic hydraulic compensation of clearances is provided.
