FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for protecting quarries from ground water. According to method, initially determined are parameters of plugging, current parameters of plugging are compared with design parameters, selected is optimal mode proceeded from comparison of parameters, calculated are radii of spreading plugging solution, evaluated is plugging according to results of comparing current radius with design radius. Determined is residual pressure on ground surface and counting it into consideration, determined is residual pressure at bottom hole. By simulating stressed-deformed state of rock mass, determined is design pressure at bottom hole. Compared is down hole pressure and design pressure. Optimal mode is that at which residual bottom hole pressure is equal to or exceeds design pressure. Given in description of invention is formula for determining radius of spreading plugging solution.
